This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists and any allied medical professional who is interested in the subject.

Learning Objectives:

There have been tremendous advances in the treatment of Hepatitis C over the past six months.

The attendees will learn how to:

  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to prioritize HCV therapy when limitations to workforce and societal resources may impact treatment initiation, as outlined in the AASLD/IDSA guidelines.
  • Describe the health benefits associated with achieving a sustained vitriolic response to HCV infection in both cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic populations. Discuss American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases/Infectious Diseases Society of America recommendations for when and in whom to initiate HCV therapy.
  • Develop a better understanding of chronic Hepatitis C and the epidemiology and incidence of Hepatitis C.
